Etsy: Post road vintage

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you already know that I have a major crush on all things vintage – from furniture to books to paintings and so on. That being said, I figured I didn’t post long time about my obsession, so now I’m just ready to spread some vintage love here. Good thing Etsy is always here to help. Well, actually I got help from a particular shop on Etsy called Post road vintage. Seeing the pretty vintage jars, rustic hooks and adorable milk bottles made me gasp and a feeling of excitement embraced me. Does it happen to you when you’re so excited to see something that you almost can breathe and actually you can hardly focus to see it?! Well, it happens to me quite often. Here are my picks, visit the shop to see more.

Traditional rustic hotel

Some days ago, when I first wrote about my home country and its beauty, many of you asked me to post more pictures about it, its patterns, colors and traditional look. So I want to share with you now some pictures of a hotel, located in the countryside and decorated in a pure national style, showing traditional designs, colors and items. I actually wanted to take my own pictures of Moldovan decorations, to show you our history and well, traditions, but unfortunately these days everybody tends to modernize their homes, leaving behind that national portrait, the beautiful things that were surrounding our grandparents and which are by the way handmade by them. However, please enjoy some pictures of this pretty hotel and remember that everything you see here is pure Moldovan!

Book review: Paris style

Well hello again, my lovelies. As promised before, a book review is what I have prepared for you now. Just in case you’re wondering, it’s not a new book, but an old, utterly inspiring one, filled with Paris atmosphere and French style and as you could guess it’s Paris style by Angelika Taschen. I found myself flipping through its pages today and couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed by the beauty, sophistication and all the chicness I found in the book. Now don’t get me wrong, I had the book in my hands a while ago, but today was like a new wave of inspiration and emotions (I guess books are under ‘every time like the first time’ principle). So, if you’re in need of some French touches in your life or home then Paris style is the book you should stick to: romantic bedrooms, country kitchens and royal, all-golden living rooms – that is, my friends, a dream come true. And if before I said my dream home is a Scandinavian styled place, now I’m not so sure…

Peaceful Scandinavian apartment

Scandinavian style is the one I’d go with in my home without looking back, it just feels so me. So when I saw this apartment I was amazed. And you might wonder why – at first the space isn’t something outstanding or extraordinary, but I felt how peaceful is that apartment. Somebody once said ‘comfort over style’ (the phrase is under copyright!) and this  apartment is the perfect proof as it may be less stylish than I’d like it to be, but it’s definitely comfy and warm and after all, what else do we need for a home?

Etsy: Emma Lamb

Let’s do some virtual shopping now, shall we? I’m taking you now to Edinburgh, UK to visit a lovely shop full of handmade crocheted, knitted, embroidered vintage accessories, such as granny rugs, cushions, pincushions, garlands and more! Oh, please meet the owner of this sweet shop, Emma Lamb! She’s an avid lover of two things: vintage & retro style and crochet, knit, embroidery, so she had the fabulous idea of combining her passions and now she’s doing what she likes the most and selling them or better said sharing them with the other people. Besides her shop, Emma can be found on her blog, Flickr and Pinterest. Speaking of Pinterest: when preparing my pinboard about what home means to me (remember that I’m a part of Pin it forward, right?) I could fill my board only with the cozy items from Emma’s shop, they look so comfortable and so home-y! Now let’s take a look at the beautiful items from Emma’s shop:
