I love when the pictures have some soft focus, they look so much more romantic and dreamy, don’t they? Maybe even feminine, hm…However, the photography of Helsinki based Krista Keltanen is just as feminine and romantic as dreamy they are! Krista is a young lady with modern approach to photography yet keeping that classic, soft and vintage look of a picture. Hello, I just said vintage! I LOVE that! To see Krista’s portfolio visit her site, Etsy shop and blog – so much eye-candy which you won’t want to miss! Here are some pictures I liked the most:

Or should I say ‘good bye, white ceilings’? Hm, not sure if white painted ceilings will make their disappearance any time soon, but one thing I do know: welcome a new design trend – ceilings painted in blue/purple/red (to name a few) colors! And I like the look of a room which has white walls against a bold colored ceiling, though it’s quite daring to do this, don’t you think so? However, I’m not planning to paint my ceiling, so for now here’s some inspiration for you, in case you might consider this idea for your own home:

I’ve playing with Olioboard lately (so much fun!) and yesterday I created an inspiration board I thought I can share with you, hoping you’ll get inspired by it. Now, with these hot summer days, we all tend to spend time outside whether it’s about a terrace of a cafe, park or in the patio, with a refreshing drink, so I made up a patio inspiration board. My imaginary patio is decorated with blue (accessories) and black (furniture), it has lots of plants and is just as good-looking as I’d imagine my dream patio being. Enjoy!

Did anyone of you try Olioboard? If so, what do you think about it? Oh, wouldn’t it be nice to get connected there? CreamyLife is so open for Olioboard friends!

Please meet Trine Thorsen, an award winning Oslo based photographer, who has a very unique style and a great eye for shooting lifestyle moments, interiors and food. Her portfolio is stunning, now was one of the few times my heart skipped a beat for it and I couldn’t stop flipping through Trine’s categories. So many things to show you, but oh, so limited opportunity. Nonetheless I do hope you’ll visit Trine’s site to convince yourself about what I said. Her style is feminine, maybe even romantic and what is that a girl wants to see, huh? Throughout Trine’s nine years of experience she managed to work for various Norwegian interior and lifestyle magazines, she contributed to several books and in 2002 she won the gold for the best landscape photography! Intrigued? Here is the proof:

Ashe+Leandro is a New York based interior design firm, having an eclectic, modern style which I’m sure is directed toward showing the owner’s personality! So throughout their years of experience, they designed spaces in a colorful way as well as more conservative ones, some of them are somber and crispy, while there are another ones very relaxed and serene. I guess that’s the image of a talented designer – flexibility in creating the spaces their clients need. Their portfolio is very inspiring, you should check it out! You can find Ashe+Leandro’s work on their site or blog.

Lately, I’ve seen lots of dusty rose-inspired posts in blogland, so I thought I should give it a try! As I could see, dusty rose is becoming more and more popular, so if you aren’t a big lover of the color – become one asap, because it actually is a softer, muted tone of the pink, which can evoke elegance and style. Don’t know if I like this color when it’s on the wall though, might be looking a bit dirty, but I definitely love it in accessories. Here’s some inspiration:

I have a tutorial for all of you, my dears! Spotted on Sweet Paul, oh my! that blog is so utter inspiring and full of creative ideas! The knitted vase I did awhile ago was also inspired by a post I saw on Sweet Paul. Alright, back to the tutorial! It’s super-easy and not requiring too much effort! However you may need TIME to complete the project, so if you decided to make your own yarn vases, make sure you have the evening free :).
Here’s you what you’ll get as a final result:

And here you can find the tutorial!
Aren’t these vases so chic? I love them! I’m planning to make one, when I’ll get a lot of free time :). Happy crafting!
