Hello, dears! Happy Monday and happy birthday to me! Today I turn 24 and it kind of sounds surreal, I still can’t believe it, am I that ‘old’? Ok, this is a joke, I guess at 24 life just starts and I’m looking forward to everything that’s yet to happen, people I’m yet to meet and blissful moments I’m yet to share with my husband, my parents and brother and of course with all of you! I’m throwing a virtual party today, so feel free to join me for a glass of champagne and some glamour :)
Spring on my mind
My name is Ludmila and I’m officially pronouncing myself a hater of winter and snow. I’m more than just exhausted of these cold, gray days. I want sunshine and colors, I want life! I’m not being too dramatic, that’s exactly how I feel each February (and December and January perhaps too). Today I put together a colorful post, a post full of vibrant life and inspiring atmosphere. I’m in a spring state of mind and with this I leave you for the weekend. Just a quick question: do you feel like me (trying to convince myself that I’m not the only one)? xo
Velvet and navy
Velvet always feels royal, so if you pair it with this gorgeous, rich hue – navy – you’re sure to get an outstanding effect! Normally I don’t like velvet so much, but there were some pictures I saw a while back which blew me away and I was daydreaming about velvet and navy ever since.
Blogger to blogger: Creature Comforts
It’s been a while since the last ‘blogger to blogger‘ post and today you’re in for a serious treat. I have the fabulous Ez here! Her blog Creature Comforts has always been an inspiration to many of us and not only Ez is one of the most talented people I’ve ever known, she’s also the sweetest lady worth all my admiration, who drove a long way to what she has today: a gorgeous blog, a stunning holiday magazine (which is free, so you can check it out too!), an Etsy shop full of eye-candy (I have one of her prints – such a pretty piece!) and most of all, she has a loving daughter and a job she can’t live without. What else a girl can ask for, right? Please read Ez’s advice about blogging:
Boards to inspire
The last few weeks I have one thing on my to-do list I’ve been postponing forever and that is to redo my inspiration board. I’m afraid to change it, I’m afraid I won’t have space to pin everything that inspires me, I’m afraid that pinning everything what actually inspires me will create the feeling of a huge, incohesive mess. There are many things I’m afraid of and I know it sounds silly. Perhaps I’m not brave enough to embrace changes? Maybe. That’s why I decided to post some of the inspiration boards I’d love to re-create.
Photographer Magnus Anesund
And again we’re at this – amazing Swedish talents. I’m so in love with photographer Magnus Anesund, I feel like I want to jump as high as I can. His work is uber inspiring, I might just get an overdose right now. He can make look chic a white, minimalistic space just the same as a colorful or even dramatic one. I tell you, his photography skills are enviable and as much as I admire such a talent, I’m slightly jealous :)
Give me sunshine
Well hello, friends! How’s the weather where you are? Here is far from what I was expecting (or want it to be): rain, snow, very cold and everything that complements such a weather. That’s why I want only one thing right now – SUN! I’m very exhausted of such a “playful” winter, I’m more than sure we had enough of it this year. So this post is in sun’s honor (am starting to think I’m getting crazy). Hope you have sun in your life!
P.S. The title is inspired by this (to die for!) poster.
Cath Kidston’s colorful collection
It’s Friday, loves! Can we get a huge YAY? How have you been? I know I have neglected you all and that makes me feel terribly bad, I promise! If only the day would have more hours, so I can manage to do everything. As long as this isn’t possible will need to deal with what I have: lots of work, not much time for chatting with you and blogging. Oh boy, saying it this way makes me SO sad :(. I’d really love to spend more time online. Ok, so to make things brighter, let me show you Cath Kidston‘s colorful collection of houseware which is absolutely adorable! Everything looks very modern, some items are very shabby chic which made me love them even more. Cath Kidston is based in London, running her pretty shop ever since 1993! Take a look:
Leopard stairs
Because everybody needs some leopard in his/her life. I know I blogged about leopard print a while back, but seeing it in stairs takes it to a whole new level. Quite the unexpected detail, just the perfect bit of extravaganza a home might need. Not vulgar, but VERY glamorous and chic. Would you dare to use leopard print that way? Let’s discuss the trend.
