Hello, sweets! Are you having a relaxing Saturday? I sure am, cozied up in bed with my laptop, warm under a cover and inspired big time! Inspired to be better, happier, more understanding and inspired to smile more (new year’s resolutions perhaps?). What are you inspired to do today?
I have to say it wouldn’t be the same without the ‘warm under a cover’ part, I’m obsessed with staying warm and hate it when I’m cold. Seriously, there’s no worse feeling for me. That’s why I’m dreaming today about fireplaces of all kind – they totally change a room making it more inviting and home-y.

Well, I guess the title said it all – I’m now sharing with you a home located in Sweden, Scandinavian to the core with pops of bright colors and vintage accessories (after all the owner, Leah, is a vintage furniture shop owner – is that a dream job or what?). Aaand Leah’s favorite color is yellow (which dominates throughout the house) – can I move in?

With the hectic couple of months I’ve had by far, the only thing on my mind is a getaway, so I suggest we all pack our stuff and head for a winter adventure – a getaway where we get to stay in a cabin, where there is a warm fireplace, fur all around, hot cocoa, stacks of magazines and books and all the other things your heart falls for :). I for one feel totally mesmerized by the beauty of the nature when I’m in the middle of the wilderness during the winter, so there’s not much I need besides that, but I won’t refuse all of the above. The holidays are just around the corner therefore it’s the perfect time to look for pretty paper goodies and get busy with sending Christmas cards (are you sending them this year, by the way?). I find handwritten cards ridiculously darling and timeless – better than any gift! And I fell for the goodies offered by Darling Clementine (I bet you know them, right?) – real heartmelters! They have cards, notebooks, trays, pillows and everything looks gorgeous! Take a look, you might get an idea or two :)

It slipped my mind yesterday to welcome you to December (really? is 2011 almost done?). I still can’t believe it, but oh well – one thing is clear – the holiday season is here! Just like I say every year, this is my favorite time of the year and I look forward to setting up the tree, to be snowed in and to enjoy this magical time.
What are you looking forward to? Time with the family? Presents? Perhaps writing down resolutions for 2012?

Can I just say Thom Filicia is my new interior design idol? The man is a genius and I’m amazed by his decorating style, aesthetics and the subtle charm of every inch he’s designed. From modern to eclectic to traditionalism Thom Filicia manages to inspire us with down-to-earth designs which feel very livable, not too sophisticated and definitely swoon-worthy. I know if I had to choose who may design my home (a girl can dream), Thom would be on the top of my list!
