Home with a {blissful} view

Happy Friday, dears! I’m finally at home, after what it seemed to me a  very long week in the hospital, so I’m thrilled I got out from there :). There’s no place better than home, right? Speaking of home, sweet home – I just found my dream place! I mean seriously, it’s a stunning piece jam-packed with amazing details both modern and mid-century ones, with a sleek feeling to it, but the most important with a view you’ll DIE for: Mediterranean sea! What can be better than waking up in the morning to the sound of calming waves and to the smell of fresh air? I believe a better option simply doesn’t exist.

Design trend: Striped ceiling in a nursery

Is it only me or you also noticed that more and more designers and decorators when planning a nursery have a striped ceiling in there? I mean, I love stripes and I’ve proven it to you many times, but there’s just something I don’t get it: why striped ceiling in a nursery? Do babies feel happier when looking up and seeing stripes? Perhaps…If you have an idea why is this trend settling in, please share it with me, I’m VERY curious to know :)

Decorating with ladders

Hello, friends! It’s Wednesday and well, what can I say, I couldn’t be happier! It’s that feeling we all have on Friday :). I’m hoping to be in the hospital until tomorrow (or Friday the latest) and I cannot wait to go home! How are you? Are you having a memorable week? I hope so :).

Today I wanted to speak with you about one not so common way of decorating and that is decorating with ladders! Whether is about old, washed out ladders or lacquered shiny ones – one thing I know for sure: not only ladders look good in a room (just like this), they also can be of much use (especially in bathrooms where you can put towels and all these things). For some reason I find ladders very modern, bringing a special feeling into a home. What do you think?

Soothing gray…

Hello, friends! Happy Monday! So I’m in the hospital, all is well, I could have my laptop with me – so far so good :). Today I’m in the mood for soothing feelings that’s why this picture I found on the internet was right up my alley! It has a French flair, it’s deliciously gray and calming, it has bits of glamour and well, it’s perfection!

There is something in this picture that has me mesmerized – I can’t take my eyes off of it! Might be the gorgeous mirror or that mantel, but I’m in love!

Hello, loves! How have you been? Wanted to let you know that I missed a lot, how much a love you all and appreciate you for visiting this blog, I truly hope you find it inspiring on a daily basis. I’d love to know if you really enjoy these posts , is there something you’d like to see more (or less) on creamylife? I need your feedback :).

On another note, I have a little announcement. I have a surgery coming on Tuesday, but will be in the hospital the entire next week. I’ll take my laptop with me and if they allow me to have it there I’ll be posting regularly (or at least I hope for this) and if not – you know the reason :).

Today I’m feeling very Spring-like and what better post could I put together than a flower inspired one? Even more when I felt like lilacs rock my world today. Aren’t they gorgeous? I find lilacs one of the most feminine and gentle flowers ever! Are they your favorites too?

Vintage love: The gingham owl

Hi all and happy Friday! Sorry for posting so late today, you know – busy Friday :). And while I was thinking what to post to make you happy I figured I would put together a few things we all love – vintage kitchenware, Etsy, good product photography and not least – owls! You do love them, right? Just recently I felt a huge and warm love for the pretty creatures (that I once considered frightening) and well, I found a shop that has it all: The gingham owl! That place is to die for! Not only the vintage items are swoon-worthy, but also on every picture you can see a different owl, not on sale – simply because they’re pretty cool:

Home Tour: Fiona Douglas

Fiona Douglas is a textile designer and the owner of Bluebellgray company based in Glasgow, Scotland and her home full of florals and bold colors got me swooning big time! One day I’d love to have a room in my home with walls painted in delicious navy color, with a neutral color palette where I can throw in colorful cushions and bright artwork – these two would make for some statement pieces in a room without much effort, right? Fiona‘s home goes straight to my inspirational folder.

One chair, many ways: Eames

I was introduced today to an online magazine that is pure delight! It’s called Est Magazine and it has SO many gorgeous articles, you’ll be truly overwhelmed with prettiness. They had an article about an Eames chair, the challenge was to recognize a real Eames and a replica (quite difficult task). The article just made me love the chair even more than I did before, so in its honor I put together a post about it and how well it might work in rooms that have different styles, color palettes etc.
