I already blogged once about wall stickers and I’m gonna do it again now as I’ve found a bunch of them on the wonderful Ferm Living. They’re changing the room so much, it can be a dramatic change, as well as a very cheerful and joyful! And there is such a big variety of wall stickers and you can stick one in each room! It’s not a big deal, but just think about the impressions it can leave! Here’s the proof:
Matthew Shave Photography
I know I usually don’t write about photography, although I love it! But now I couldn’t resist not to blog about this amazing photographer Matthew Shave. He’s not only interior design, but also fashion photographer and his work is really amazing! Not to mention that his clients are well-known brands like L’Oreal, Jimmy Choo, Elle, Harpers Bazaar and others. Here are some photos taken by Matthew:
Art by Stephanie Levy
I’m not actually a big (I mean very big!) fan of painting, but the creations of Stephanie Levy left me speechless! And I mean it, I was like I can’t get a word of me until I saw all of her works. That was impressing! You probably know who is Stephanie, but just in case you don’t: she’s an American artist and illustrator who currently lives in Germany, Europe. For more info check here and to see the paintings she’s making, just visit her Etsy shop here. Stephanie is mostly painting the places she’d visited, so I guess that’s what impressed me the most, it’s always eye-catching to see how somebody sees Helsinki or Milan, isn’t it? Let’s take a quick look at her works:
Eye-candy of New York Interiors
As promised before, now I’ll bring to your attention the images which impressed me the most from my very favorite interior design book New York Interiors. I must confess that the huge difference between London and New York Interiors makes the 2 places so unique and special! And I really can’t decide where would I like to live or what style is closer to my heart: London or New York. Well, one thing is for sure: I loved both these spaces and their decors and I’m very proud of starting my interior design ‘career’ being inspired by them!
Life in polka dot
Polka dot is a really popular theme for a baby room or furniture. But, did you notice lately how polka dot is being used not only when related to kids?! And I admit that I get melted when seeing this. The look of a polka dot sofa is so innocent and cute, while showing off a challenge. I mean, come on, not everybody would dare to paint the bathroom floor in white and brown polka dots (see picture below). Whether I’m right or not, polka dots smell French (a bit) and it attracts somebody’s eye, doesn’t it?
Lamps
Hello, dear readers! I really hope you had a fabulous weekend! Did something the same fabulous happen to you during these 2 short days? Please share it in your comments :).
I’ll start my week by posting about light (again) and particularly about lamps: table lamps, floor lamps and just cute masterpieces! We all need light, whether it’s natural (which is the best) or artificial given by lamps. Nowadays, designers are so creative that they can impress and fulfill the tastes of any person!
Light+Colors
Oh, I need this mix! And if to be more precise, I meant some gorgeous rooms I stumbled upon some time ago. I just didn’t ever get to them more seriously, but now I thought I’d sneak a peek and just hope you’ll like them as much as I do! You know I have a crush on rooms with lots of sunlight and bright (or not) colors, well, the images are the perfect ones as they express both: brightness and color. What can I say? I’m in love with them and I’ll always be :).
Reading about New York Interiors…
That’s right, you guessed! My new design book is all about New York Interiors and I just love it! I’ve finished reading about London Interiors and I was really impatient to see what New York will bring me. Later I’ll be posting some of my favorite images from the book, so stay tuned!
Is somebody else reading this or maybe read it before? What are your impressions?
