Have you guys heard about Jen Stark? She’s a contemporary artist whose paper cutting skills (for example, go see the wood work) are outstanding! I was left speechless when I saw the colors and the overall look of her kaleidoscopes! And yes, everything is handmade and unique which makes it even more beautiful! Take a look:
Handmade: Colorful tableware
I just came across this etsy shop full of hand painted tableware – Aedriel Originals! Plates with colorful chevrons and stripes or personalized messages, bright cups and trays – they’re all beyond adorable and so spring-y. Just imagine a spring soiree or picnic using these – so much happiness coming from a colorful tableware, don’t you think (I think even the food tastes better)? What’s your pick?
Jill Rosenwald pottery
I’m sure you all heard about Jill Rosenwald and her fabulous collection of pottery, but I just needed to add my two cents. A few weeks back I posted on creamylife Facebook page their chevron vase and couldn’t take it off of my mind ever since. So today imagine how pleased I was to find many more pretty designs which have my name all over them, I could have them all in my life and not feeling overwhelmed at all! Not only Jill does art pottery, she also has announced new rug collection, bedding, wall decor and everything your home might need for a fresh and modern change.
Serbian Made: Shtirak Design by Sonja
Hi everyone! I hope you had a relaxing weekend and you fueled up for another week! The traditional Serbian Monday is here and today I have for you a talented girl, creator of beautiful and oh, so feminine jewelry – Sonja and her brand Shtirak Design by Sonja! I had the link to her Facebook page bookmarked for a way too long time and now the time has finally come to share her work with you all! Needless to mention how much I love everything, but I’m digging very much the delicate earrings she’s creating – pretty ribbons and buttons, amazing colors – what else a girl can ask? Oh and everything is handmade, how about that?
Serbian Made: Yoladin handmade
Hello and happy Monday! First of all, I’d like to start off by sending a HUGE hug to all 1,000 (!) fans of creamylife on Facebook, you really made my week and please know that I appreciate it a lot and love you forever (2011 is off to a great start, I also reached 1,000 followers on Twitter, yay!).
This week I want to introduce you to a young Serbian designer who loves handmade and is creating some to die for pouches, purses, bags – from recycled paper! You may recall his creations from this post about Emilija Petrovic’s shop in Choomich, so I couldn’t avoid putting together an entire post about those gorgeous musts for a lady, even more because it’s all eco-friendly (how cool is that?). The guy behind all this loveliness is called Milan Ilic and you can find more of his work on Yoladin handmade blog, site and shop.
Serbian Made: Iva did it.
Hello, creamylife-ers! How was your weekend? Are you ready for a new week? I sure am! Will kick off this week with a Serbian talent, Iva Novičić behind Iva did it.! Iva is a young lady, whose passion is handmade and jewelry, so she put these two together and started creating handmade jewelry, which is being sold in Supermarket Concept Store (I know I’ve mentioned this store like a thousand times, but it’s really fabulous, so don’t blame me, please!). Iva has a beautiful collection of earrings, necklaces, pendants and bracelets which is sure to satisfy everyone, big or small! I personally love how Iva uses colors within her creations: vibrant hues, mixed muted colors or juicy brights – she does it all good! Here are a few of her pieces, the rest you can check on her Facebook page. Locals, if you’d like to purchase any of this jewelry, look for Iva did it. in Supermarket or contact Iva by mail, which can be found on her page.
Serbian Made: Keewee by Iva Brkic
Hello everyone and welcome to a Serbian Monday! This week’s featured artist is a cutie aka Iva Brkic aka Keewee, a young lady in love with ceramics and handmade, living in Belgrade and creating the most gorgeous ceramic jewelry, tableware, home ware and much more. How did I find out about Iva? I need to give credit for this to Jelena, artist behind LoveLeyla (you can recall her from this post), whom I met last week and who was wearing a sweet and heart-melting brooch which made me fall in love instantly! Well, the brooch was made by Iva and I couldn’t be more thrilled when Iva agreed to be featured on creamylife and even more when she told me she reads my blog, that was flattering :). You know, makes me very proud of myself to have started Serbian Made category, because I got to meet so many wonderful people through it! The talent I’ve seen in the past couple of months is mind-blowing, so creamylife helped me a lot in knowing better Serbian artists and their aesthetics. Iva is no exception! Her work is amazing!
Serbian Made: Dugmence
Good Monday morning, friends! I hope you had a fabulous weekend, but it’s now time for a new week, new expectations and plenty of work to be done! I’m kicking off this new week with a Serbian made post (how unpredictable, right?), please enter Kristina, crafter behind Dugmence site! Kristina is creating what can only be called dreamy and so close to our hearts – bags, purses, wallets and how do we love all this, don’t we? But Kristina’s work isn’t just useful, it’s also so pretty, I could easily die for it! The bags, purses and everything the rest is handmade by Kristina, designed by her from scratch and you can feel the huge talent she has by looking at the designs! Besides bags, purses and wallets (which I focused on in this post), seems like Kristina is attracted by patchwork and she loves to create bedspreads made with this technique (you must see those bedspreads! they’re gorgeous!). For now, here are those things that us, girls, can’t live without!
Serbian Made: Greeting cards by Alena Goran
Good Monday morning all! I hope you enjoyed your weekend (and you still enjoy it, my readers who celebrate Labor day!) and today I’m bringing to you the lovely work of a very creative lady, Alena Goran! Alena is making the cutest greeting cards I’ve ever seen – everything is handmade with love! She was kind enough to prepare a story for me and you, so here’s what she says:
“In particular I appreciate art, nature, photography and beautiful handmade things. For some time I had a desire to start to create decorative greeting cards, probably because of my need to give others something beautiful as a gesture from the heart. These are decorative cards that can later be used as decoration. We choose a card according to its appearance that carries a particular message which is something that is sincere and from the soul. Nowadays it is much less common and rare. I hope that with these cards I will inspire others to go back to times when messages were hand written and carried a personal touch. More romantic and sweeter (even perfumed :-)) than today’s e-mailing.
