Ever since I remember myself I loved analyzing stuff whether it’s a situation, story, setting or vignette – it was always fascinating to learn (or at least imagine and guess) why did it happen that way, what was the reason and the result of a certain behavior etc. constantly trying to stay true to myself, striving to be the image of my opinion. So I thought a cool idea would be to bring this hobby (?) of mine to the blog, focusing on rooms that were appealing, discussing here why were they appealing. Let’s proceed :)
Eye-candy
Hi all, I have been missing for a very long while and I apologize (again!), but thanks to sweet readers who sent me emails asking if everything’s ok and showing concern, I appreciate it a lot! Yes, everything’s fine, life is busy and I must learn to organize better in order to manage blogging just as I did before. Promise to do my best to stick around this time :)!
Let’s talk business now :). With emerald green being this year’s color I can’t help but get back to all shades of green over and over again and this collection is particularly appealing as each space is simple, but the green accents are the cherry on the cake providing that needed dose of grandeur and elegance. Also, these rooms have the home-y feeling therefore they’re going to my bookmarks asap!
Have a great week!
Add some gold to it
Gold is such a timeless detail and it fascinates me how big of a change gold accents can add to a room, outfit, table or to anything else. I’m loving golden touches lately and I especially enjoy seeing them in home decor in form of chairs, shelves, candlesticks etc. Of course it’s adorable to see golden macaroons, but still nothing beats a stunning golden chandelier in a relaxing bedroom.A girl can dream :)
Floral headboard DIY
I’m LOVING this floral headboard I came across over on Bri’s blog. Very easy, cost-effective and so very cute, pretty, gentle and all in all amazing! It’s the perfect touch of feminine – I’m absolutely in love!
Happy Friday!
Color coordinated
Lately I’m feeling so attracted by simple color schemes which obviously lead up to pretty color coordinated rooms. I enjoy seeing how people use one color (or a combo) throughout an entire room as it adds such a delicate touch and the room feels very neat and chic. Depending on which color you’re going with the room can become feminine, cozy or plain modern. Whatever the result is it’s clear that a color coordinated room looks also very organized and all this together is a winning combination :). Here are a few examples:
Colorful kitchen cabinets
Perhaps colorful kitchen cabinets aren’t my cup of tea at the moment (remember when I was saying how my aesthetics has a tendency to change over time? well, let’s say I’m more for a sleek and modern design now). Nonetheless, I can’t help but love the colorful kitchen cabinets from this post, they’re bringing so much joy into any space and being that a kitchen is an area where we spend a lot of time in pops of green, blue, yellow or red sound pretty much perfection! There is one ‘but’ – although I like this idea I’m wondering how does one feel when actually having colorful kitchen cabinets, doesn’t it feel too much?
Calming nursery
I came across this nursery some time ago and I immediately knew it’s going to my bookmarks! It’s no surprise I love to stare at pretty nurseries, but this one felt so very soothing and appealing that I thought to myself how amazing it would be if I get to have such calming space! All white and creamy this room is sure to teach a little one serenity. Oh, and the room has stripes – who doesn’t love them, right?
Unexpected color
Hi friends! Happy Sunday, I hope you’re enjoying yet another end of the week. It’s so dreary outside that I can’t help but crave some color (but we all know I always crave it, so no big deal now :)). I came across some rooms where color is used in the most unexpected way – radiators! Who would think a radiator can be the focal point of a room, right? The idea in my opinion is quite amazing and so easy! Ah, if only we (or at least I) would have the guts to do it :)
Sparkly DIY projects
It’s no surprise I’m crazy about everything that is sparkly and holiday like, so I was delighted to see a huge collection of DIY glittery projects. For the home, for your Christmas party, even for your wardrobe – you’ll find everything your heart desires. The best of all, each project is linked to its how-to tutorial and we can all try our hands at making a sparkly banner or some cute Christmas tree decorations (yes, I’m all about holidays these days, don’t blame me!). So because I love you so much, I had to share my find with you!
Which project is your favorite?
Back to business :)
Hello, sweet friends! Do you still remember me? It’s been too long since I last posted something so if you forgot how am I – I can totally understand you (I do hope you’ll come back though!). So I had a baby boy about two months ago and I took some time off to adjust to this new role (which is much harder than it seems, by the way!). All in all, we’re good – baby M is growing up way too fast and already looks like a little man who laughs, ‘speaks’ his own language and makes us happy day by day :).
So today I’m here sincerely hoping I’ll be able to get back to daily posting (or a few times per week at least) and since Christmas is right around the corner of course I had to share a few inspirational, relaxing and pretty pictures with you just to put you in the right mood!
