Happy weekend
So I decided to collect giraffes. Odd? Cute? I find it awesome and am totally excited about it. I never collected anything in my life so the idea itself sounds great and I can’t wait to buy the first piece of my (hopefully) ever growing collection :). Meantime I’ll enjoy the weekend, cuddle under warm blankets, cook and maybe continue reading the (billion) books I started along while ago :). What are your plans for the weekend?

Serene whites
Ever wondered why is white both calming, warm-ish and sterile at the same time? I know it’s an unimaginable combo, but I often feel exactly this when I see how this color is used in interiors. Sometimes it can be very soothing while other times so minimalist and look-but-don’t-touch. The home tour below features a white (beige-y) which is very warm, serene and simple perfection for a home. Rue magazine turned one, congratulations to the amazing team! The magazine has been a treasure and inspiration from the very first issue and I believe I’ll keep being astonished by it till the end (hope there won’t be one). Think Big
I just came across a home that perfectly fits under the saying ‘think big’. With mostly big size wall art, that space became a livable gallery, eclectic and grand. And I got myself thinking that big pieces are the only thing you need in a home for a bigger impact and a more dramatic look. Whether it’s about paintings, mirrors or even rugs it all works the same. Think big, people!

Mid-week treats
I know I normally don’t post about food here on the blog, but every once in a while I’m tempted to share with you delicious photography from all around the Internet. I though I’d start with macaroons, because everybody loves them, but then there are these adorable little cupcakes that I can’t stand. Oh well, enjoy these few pictures and if you’d like to indulge yourself more, hop on my Pinterest board which is created especially for cupcakes and macaroons – because I really think that even lovely (edible) treats might inspire us :)
