Hello and happy Sunday! Wanted to wish you a lovely and relaxing day, but not before thanking you all for visiting creamylife. I know, I said it a lot of times, but please know that my gratitude for you is indescribably huge and I want to heartily express it as much as I can! Your comments are the sun rays of my day and I savor every single word you put into them. And I also know there are many of you who read my posts without leaving comments, I appreciate you as well and am grateful for your inactive support! Once again, thank you to all!
Faux snakeskin
There has been a lot of buzz around animal prints and their use in homes lately. Nowadays cow and zebra hide rugs are a must in a modern, eclectic home. However, I’m pretty confused about how do I feel about this trend. I mean a faux cowhide rug is totally fine, but what about decorating with faux snakeskin? Stunning or hideous? I heard different opinions about it, but I leave it to you to decide is faux snakeskin in a home yay or nay? I found some examples to share with you and am anxiously waiting for your opinions in the comments below.
Emilija Petrovic shop in Choomich
Hello, my loveliest friends! Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate this holiday (even though Serbians don’t have it I do celebrate!). Today I have to share with you a darling shop from Choomich (I know, I know, lots of talking about Choomich (like here), but I can’t help it, it’s the only Design District here and it’s fantastic!). The adorable shop belongs to a lovely young fashion designer, Emilija Petrovic. Decorated with pink and gray (hello! a killer color combo!) the boutique has stripes on one wall, while the other two walls are plain pink and gray. Emilija’s shop is gorgeous and it feels like a girl’s room, with all the adjacent accessories: butterflies, minisized shoe collection, a metallic pouf and clothes, plenty of amazing clothes! I snapped some shots, but they do no justice to how beautiful that place is in real life.
Today I want…
A more laid-back post today for us all to soak in and think about. I was saying yesterday that my aesthetics is going through some changes at the moment and if awhile back I was blown away by bright colors and cheery atmosphere, lately it’s more about soft neutrals and romantic shots. Hence the different posts you might see in the future on creamylife (I promise they won’t be less inspiring!).
Today I want… to be here
Tolix (chair & stool) crush
Hello everyone! Good morning and welcome to a new week. Taking another break from Serbian Made, but this doesn’t mean the post I have prepared for you is less inspiring and fabulous. But first of all tell me how are you all, how was your weekend? Did you have snow yet (they say we’ll have snow at the end of this week, so I guess I’m excited about it…or not?).
So you know how big sucker I am for chairs and stools, right? What happens when some killer chairs and stools are galvanized, with a worn industrial look which feel like a breath of fresh air (paradoxical?!) in a modern, country or any other style? I’ll tell you what happens – my new crush: Tolix chairs and stools! I’ve been having my eyes on them for awhile and just find them utterly attractive and charming! Their rough look speaks about the unique style, very contemporary and style-friendly aesthetics of the owner. They look gorgeous in ANY room, seriously! Take a look:
Happy Weekend
I don’t know how about you, but I’m seriously dying to have snow and winter holidays and all this bliss! Maybe it’s because I’ve seen too much winter wonderland shots lately or because the weather smells like winter not only in the morning, but all day…Nonetheless, I’m officially in a winter magic mood and these pictures are too stunning to be ignored.
Happy weekend, friends!
Home Tour: modern Villa Villekulla
Hi, everyone! TGIF, right? This week seemed to me so so long (I was sick last weekend, so it didn’t actually feel like a weekend at all), on Tuesday I was thinking it’s already Friday, so today I’m REALLY happy to know it is indeed Friday and the weekend is ahead. I want to share with you pictures of a home tour that’s called Villa Villekulla (you know the story of Pippi Longstocking, right? well, the story tells that Pippi lives in Villa Villekulla). The home I’m talking about is so white and crisp with splashes of bright colors seen in the artwork, pieces of furniture, rugs and the rest of the interior. Although it has plenty of white, this home feels more modern than sterile and it actually brought excitement into my heart – I want to move there! So while you’ll check the pictures, I’m going to pack my stuff :)
Peacock Pavilions
Hello, everyone! Can I confess something? I have a dream destination for quite a long while now – Marrakesh! I’m fascinated by the rich culture and that spirit of a this-is-another-world’s city dominating there even nowadays. Maryam, author of My Marrakesh blog has always been an inspiration to me and I cherish every single post she’s writing on her blog. So, my huge wish is to get to Marrakesh one day, meet Maryam and stay at her hotel Peacock Pavilions! A girl can dream, right? Let’s speak about Peacock Pavilions now. OMG! That place is blissful, majorly inspiring and just a beauty out of this world! Golden touches, hand embroidered cushions, hand painted staircases, stunning light fixtures, absolutely mind-blowing decor and colors – this is a small part of what Peacock Pavilions are! Anyone care to join me in my dream destination?
