Yesterday while browsing some pins from around the world I came across a picture that had my attention for a few good minutes. Unfortunately I haven’t saved it, but believe me when I say it was a swoon-worthy living room and what caught my eye were the layered rugs on the floor. I loved it, because those mismatched rugs were such a perfect and unexpected detail to the room, adding some color, a patterned twist to the entire space making it feel warmer and cozier. At the same time I felt that as pretty as the look of patterned rugs might be, it’s also a bold move (at least it would be for me), so I thought I can ask you – do you love or hate the look of layered rugs?
Happy weekend!
Happy weekend, friends! While you read this I’ll be on my three-day-vacation already as the husband and I took Friday off to enjoy some R&R, even if it’s for such a short time :). We’re staying at an ethno-village which is a four-hour drive from Belgrade, but not just an ethno-village – it’s the one built by Emir Kusturica, the popular movie maker :). I’m excited to go offline for such a long time, but who knows – maybe I will pop in from time to time on my Facebook page, be sure to visit :).
I’m wishing you all a wonderful weekend, thank you for stopping by this week – and see you on Monday! xo

Home vs Fashion
It’s so fascinating to see the thin line between fashion and interior design, isn’t it? As much as the two industries seem to be different, at the end of the day they go hand in hand from every perspective. Perhaps less when it comes to texture, but a lot when we’re speaking about color and I love seeing the similarity between fashion and home decor, even more putting them together and look closely at how colors blend, how a piece of art can look so good on a dress etc.
Dwell Studio baby
With my due date just 10 weeks away (it feels so soon!) I have to get serious about baby shopping starting with onesies to blankets to crib. I did purchase some cute stuff already, but the major pieces like the crib, stroller, car seat, bedding – it’s still on hold simply because I feel there is time (or perhaps buying everything will make it so much more real and will terrify me and that’s why I’m avoiding it?). Nonetheless, I do love browsing online for baby stuff and Dwell Studio has some of the prettiest patterns I’ve ever seen! I highlighted some items, but frankly – I would take it all!
Ferm living A/W ’12
Ferm living is a favorite company of mine since pretty much the first day I came across their pretty patterns. Their A/W collection is nothing short of gorgeous and I especially dig the baby section – beyond cute pillows and wallpaper designs are such happy pieces that it made me want to live in that catalogue :). Happy Monday!
Friday inspiration {happy weekend}
Lovelies, it’s Friday – at long last! Although each week seems way too long with hectic days that sometimes feel unbearable, it also feels like the time flies by way too fast making us look back and wonder how is it already August?! It’s surreal to me that in just a little over two months I’ll get to meet my baby – I’m frightened and excited all at once – and just to think that it feels like yesterday we found out we’re pregnant :). I have to try to live more, feel more and enjoy more every single day before the baby comes, after all the drastic change that awaits me is closer and closer in time. I wish you the same (with or without the baby :)) – enjoy the moments of your day like there’s no tomorrow! Eat that cupcake or ice-cream without thinking about the calories, ride a bike to farmer’s market where you’ll pick up an enormous bouquet of peonies, call your friends and family to remind them how much you love them, have a margarita and go to the beach – your weekend is guaranteed to be one of the best!
You and Me
Hi guys! After posting every day this week about home decor ideas, for a refreshing change I’d like to introduce you to a stunning newly-launched e-mag You and Me, packed with gorgeous wedding shots, beautiful brides, table decor, DIY and much much more! Another work by Radostina and the team making us dream/remember about blissful wedding moments when nothing else matters except the love which can be felt with every skin cell. The dreamy and romantic photography will take your breath away with its soft glow, so for a dose of beauty I highly recommend checking the magazine.
50 shades of gray
While browsing some inspirational images the other day, I couldn’t ignore the abundance of gray bedrooms out there. Different shades, styles and decors, but one thing in common – timeless gray walls and/or accessories. How I feel about this? Very 2010, but that’s only my opinion – I’m more into pastels/white at this moment in my life. Yes, I like gray bedrooms and probably at some point I would totally paint mine in a gray-ish color, for now let’s just indulge in some pictures and pin what we like – you know, just in case we need ideas in the future :).
Ombre wall DIY
Hi guys! I hope you had a lovely weekend, time to switch to work mode now :). Now on to my post, I know I said here that I’m so ready for everyone to get over the ombre trend, including myself, but what I’m going to show you in this post is totally controversial to that. I’m sure you’ll understand as it’s something stunning, that you can actually DIY – an ombre wall! No more ombre dressers, sheets, napkins – this time let’s go big with this, shall we? I think on walls I’m ready to see the trend some more time, what do you think?
Here‘s how you do it, courtesy of Erica of P.S. I made this.
To me this looks absolutely breathtaking! Will/would you give it try?
