Funky Stairs

Hi, dears! Once again I’ll say that – I’m so grateful to online social media for the great inspiration it’s sharing every day! Example: I’m following Living Etc. on Twitter and today I saw a link they posted there, which took me to a gorgeous article on their site! The article was all about quirky staircases and I totally fell in love with the colorful ones. Pure gorgeousness and I’d be happy to have a rainbow staircase in my home. It would make for a cheerful atmosphere and a fun interior design. So I felt I needed to show the inspiring staircases to you and here they are:

Andy Liffner Photography

If you want a dose of calming, feels-like-home inspiration – welcome to this post! Andy Liffner‘s photography is all about coziness and positive vibes. The colors of the interiors he’s shooting tend to be warm, creating a relaxing atmosphere and the spaces themselves are decorated in a traditional style which involves the timeless classicism. With lots of neutral colors, the interiors photographed by Andy Liffner are very joyful and romantic though. I thought I just must show them to you!

Drake Design

Good morning, lovelies and happy Friday! Yesterday when preparing this blog post I had a moment of gasp. I couldn’t choose pictures as they were too beautiful all (!) of them! And when I finally decided about the ones I need, I had in my folder around 20 images! Hello! As much as this blog is mine and I can do whatever want, 20 images were way too many! I’m talking about the designs of Jamie Drake. Have you ever checked his portfolio?! Stunning! His work is based on bold colors, modern yet inviting designs, mix of styles and let me say: the pictures of his designs are emanating professionalism, freshness and sense of beauty! It was the second time when I could barely speak and describe my feelings for Drake designs (the first time happened when checking Tobi Fairley‘s portfolio). Jamie Drake has a real talent, an eye for beautiful spaces and oh well, he’s my idol! Please take a look at the pictures:

Swedish Retro

I want to share with all of you now a home located in Sweden, designed by the talented Katrine Martensen-Larsen (remember I blogged about her home here?). It belongs to a young married couple and their two kids. The home is decorated in a funky retro style with touches of vintage and modern. That space feels very warm and inviting, with all the big windows and wood floors (might seem to be a little of Scandinavian, but it’s not). Take a look and convince yourself:

Lucas Allen Photography

Lucas Allen is a young photographer, born in Melbourne, who now lives in New York. He started his career at the age of 21, shooting ever since people, interiors, fashion industry and still life. And as would Julia Child say, his photography is “the  butter to my bread and the breath to my life”. Some of you may be wondering why do I blog so much about photographers, stylists and decorators and I perfectly understand why you’re asking this. The thing is that  while ransacking through the beautiful portfolios of talented photographers, I learn the art of taking good quality pictures (you probably know that I love photography and would consider it as my hobby) , so it is a sort of lessons I take every time I prepare the pictures for an article to blog about. The same is happening with interior stylists and designers – this is a great way of learning about interior design, as well as getting inspired by the work of great artists. So, I would like you to know one thing: every single photographer, stylist, decorator or designer I write about on CreamyLife is a great source of inspiration to me and a good example to follow! So is Lucas Allen and here is his work:

Interior Stylist Lotta Agaton

Another Swedish talented artist of interior design is Lotta Agaton. After working several years as a managing editor for the Swedish magazine Residence, Lotta started her career as a freelancer working with clients both in Sweden and abroad. You should definitely visit Lotta’s site and blog to her check  portfolio (it’s in Swedish, but it can be easily translated into English). I like how she is playing with the styles, adding to a dramatic room a touch of romance – impressing to me as I always thought mixing styles isn’t *that* easy! Here’s is what I highlighted from the amazing portfolio of Lotta Agaton!

It’s absolutely fabulous, charming, stylish, GLAMOROUS and so adorable! Alright, let me explain. Designers and architects worked with Kari & Kirby and they made up unbelievable beautiful yet functional homes for them! I’ll show you now Kari’s part (not that I didn’t like Kirby’s home). So, please relax, take a deep breath and try not to be too jealous :).

Kelley Interior Design

Interior designer Kelley Proxmire, owner of Kelley Interior Design was obsessed with all thing interior design since her early teen years. Her first meltdown was her parents’ living room that trapped her and converted interior design in a lifestyle. “When everyone else bought Seventeen, I was buying House Beautiful.” says Kelley and that’s what I call a passionate designer! Her love for colors and warm spaces guide her in creating beautiful rooms with popping bright colors, as well as elegant charming ones in black and white.
