With my due date just 10 weeks away (it feels so soon!) I have to get serious about baby shopping starting with onesies to blankets to crib. I did purchase some cute stuff already, but the major pieces like the crib, stroller, car seat, bedding – it’s still on hold simply because I feel there is time (or perhaps buying everything will make it so much more real and will terrify me and that’s why I’m avoiding it?). Nonetheless, I do love browsing online for baby stuff and Dwell Studio has some of the prettiest patterns I’ve ever seen! I highlighted some items, but frankly – I would take it all!
Ferm living A/W ’12
Ferm living is a favorite company of mine since pretty much the first day I came across their pretty patterns. Their A/W collection is nothing short of gorgeous and I especially dig the baby section – beyond cute pillows and wallpaper designs are such happy pieces that it made me want to live in that catalogue :). Happy Monday!
50 shades of gray
While browsing some inspirational images the other day, I couldn’t ignore the abundance of gray bedrooms out there. Different shades, styles and decors, but one thing in common – timeless gray walls and/or accessories. How I feel about this? Very 2010, but that’s only my opinion – I’m more into pastels/white at this moment in my life. Yes, I like gray bedrooms and probably at some point I would totally paint mine in a gray-ish color, for now let’s just indulge in some pictures and pin what we like – you know, just in case we need ideas in the future :).
Ombre wall DIY
Hi guys! I hope you had a lovely weekend, time to switch to work mode now :). Now on to my post, I know I said here that I’m so ready for everyone to get over the ombre trend, including myself, but what I’m going to show you in this post is totally controversial to that. I’m sure you’ll understand as it’s something stunning, that you can actually DIY – an ombre wall! No more ombre dressers, sheets, napkins – this time let’s go big with this, shall we? I think on walls I’m ready to see the trend some more time, what do you think?
Here‘s how you do it, courtesy of Erica of P.S. I made this.
To me this looks absolutely breathtaking! Will/would you give it try?
By the sea
Today I’m dreaming about living by the sea, in a chic villa where modern meets timeless vibes of untouched. Even more if living by the sea means living in Greece, on one of their stunning islands that to me feel the biggest treasure the world has. Greek style has something special to it that leaves me in awe every time I see the houses there, color palettes, textures and patterns. Don’t you feel the same? While we’re at it, Santorini still remains my ultimate dream destination, but today I’m all about Tinos – another island with amazing villas!
Cute tea tables
I came across these tables the other day and couldn’t help but sharing my find with you. The tables are so pretty and small yet so functional! They can hold a tea cup or a cookie stand and that’s all, but the design is so amazing that I think I would without second thoughts purchase some of that loveliness! Check them out:
Canopy beds
Hello, friends! It’s another Monday, another week (another weekend to look forward to) – I hope it started off good for each of you :). Today I’d like to speak about beds (because that’s where I’d like to be right now) and to be more precise about canopy beds. I must admit I have mixed feelings about them, I know I adore canopy beds wrapped in light curtains – they’re just so flirty and full of romance, but I’m not mad about the modern (or not) canopy beds with four posts only – to me it feels like there is something missing in their design. Nonetheless, I think either of the styles brings some freshness into a bedroom and some unique vibe, so I’d definitely get one for myself :).
Nursery inspiration
And I’m back with another baby-related post. I have been writing about baby clothes and sharing plenty of inspiration on my Pinterest board, so it’s the right time to share some nursery ideas. Lately I’m very much into elephants and I like everything that has an elephant on it, that’s why it made sense to me that the dream nursery for my baby will be elephant themed (aren’t they the cutest beings ever?!). So here it is the inspiration board, with all the sources:
1 – dresser, 2 – rug, 3 – elephant night lamp, 4 – wallpaper, 5 – crib, 6 – mobile, 7 – rocker, 8 – ottoman, 9 – apple poster, 10 – pear poster.
Have a great Tuesday! xo
California vintage home
When I saw this home my heart skipped a bit, it was a feeling one has when seeing ‘the one’, whether person, home, couch or things like that. It’s light, cozy, modern yet vintage and it has lots and lots of adorable colors and patterns. It felt like the one for me, because I could easily see myself living there, cooking in a mint kitchen, seating on coral vintage dining chairs or just hanging out in a living room with an awesome rug! What’s your say: yay or nay for vintage homes?
