Well, guess what – the awful weather we have here (and which seems to last forever!) has me dreaming about sunny yellows that just pop out and make any day look better. So I’m indulging today in pretty pictures where the focus is on yellow (but of course!).
Dip it
It’s everywhere – the trend of dipped stuff and it never looked more appealing than now. Kitchen utensils are my favorite part – a fresh twist to boring kitchen items (sounds good to me!). What do you think?
Happy Monday :)
Lovely prints from ConiLab
I love when I’m contacted by readers who are also designers/artists and I get to be introduced to their work. Blogland is huge and it’s impossible to know everyone’s work (and what are the odds to just stumble upon talented personalities?). So I’m grateful when I receive sweet emails which are informative all at once. Case in point, I’d like to introduce you to Coni Della Vedova, graphic designers behind ConiLab, based in Barcelona, Spain. She designs adorable posters using 100% handmade serigraphy (aka screen printing) and I fell in love with them – even considering buying some for our baby‘s nursery :)
Tribal chic
We see more and more of tribal in the blogosphere these days, so I thought I’d add my two cents – I’m hooked. I’m in love with the colors, patterns and I sure like how tribal is used in fashion – gorgeousness all around. But let’s not forget about tribal chicness as seen in interior design – it definitely adds a fresh twist to a space! Whether it’s a cushion, bedspread or wall art – your most exotic dreams become reality in an instant and who doesn’t love that?
Home tour: fashion illustrator Dallas Shaw
Hello, darlings! First of all I would like to THANK you all for the sweetest comments on yesterday’s post! You make me the happiest and I appreciate your support to no end! :)
Secondly, I have to confess something – I have a dream and that is to be a fashion illustrator. I love illustrations that capture the sensuality of fashion, that perfectly show off stunning details and stylish personalities. In addition, fashion illustrators are always looking hot and they live in gorgeous apartments – sign me up for both! That’s exactly the story of Dallas Shaw – young, talented, stylish AND with a killer home – stylish perfection all around.
Copper lamps, you have my heart
Indeed they do. I’m in love, but how could I not be? The shape, the shiny surface, the impact on a room – all these speak for themselves: a copper Globe pendant lamp is too gorgeous to be left aside.
Cocoa and Hearts paintings
I’ve been a fan of Jen Ramos for a very long time and few know that her blog, Made by girl, was the first interior design/lifestyle blog I read, which actually led me to write about interiors myself – so yes, I’m kind of emotionally attached to that blogger :). And she never ceases to amaze me – her latest adventure, Cocoa and Hearts, is truly fabulous! Jen is a talented artist who paints gorgeous art that embraces fun colors and yes, I had to share some faves with you.
Pretty kitchen display
Are you a fan of open shelves in the kitchen or you’re more of a cabinet person? I have to admit a while back I was all about open shelving, but now I wouldn’t say ‘no’ to glossy, black-painted cabinets to add some drama to the area. So I’m asking you now – what would you choose?
Living through colors
With these shiny, warm days all I have on my mind are colors, colors, colors! It was never a secret I’m totally obsessed with them, but there’s something special happening to me when it’s spring outside – then yellow, blue, red or green gets so much more weight and it’s like life wouldn’t exist without them, you know what I mean? So when I need a dose of bright hues, I head over Design Seeds and of course you know this brilliant site full of inspiration. Here are my highlights for today.
Spring greens and blues
With the spring being here, I can’t help but be inspired by its freshness and brightness. Spring’s green color is my absolute favorite shade and the blue – well, it always feels airy and clean, so this combo is a perfect addition to anything especially after a dreary winter. That’s why I was so smitten by this table setting and the room itself – I could feel the smell of spring through the pictures!
