Ever since I remember myself I loved analyzing stuff whether it’s a situation, story, setting or vignette – it was always fascinating to learn (or at least imagine and guess) why did it happen that way, what was the reason and the result of a certain behavior etc. constantly trying to stay true to myself, striving to be the image of my opinion. So I thought a cool idea would be to bring this hobby (?) of mine to the blog, focusing on rooms that were appealing, discussing here why were they appealing. Let’s proceed :)
Daniella Witte – drama in black & white
I was recently introduced to an amazing Swedish interior photographer Daniella Witte and had to share my find with you – Daniella’s photography which is pure drama feels like fresh air amidst my latest posts which are all about colors :). You’ll see mainly black and white in Daniella Witte’s photography, but each photo has that special detail that makes everything look inviting and well, less dramatic.
Vibrance captured by Idha Lindhag
Idha Lindhag is a photographer working for the Swedish Elle Interior and Casa Vogue and she’s amazingly talented, able to capture and showcase through her work the depth of the setting. She has gorgeous black and white shots, but what caught my eye are the images with popping out, vibrant shades that are lively and inviting all at once. one more Swedish photographer to bookmark!
Lesley Unruh Photography
Hello, friends! So sorry for being absent these days, but just in case you’d like to know – my mini-vacation was fabulous and I wish it didn’t end so fast! What were you up to while I was away?
So since I’m just recovering from the few days of doing nothing today’s post is relaxing and pretty. And hopefully will bring a bit of light into our lives (is the weather the same awful where you are?). Anyways, Lesley Unruh caught my eye with her photography which is so eclectic and positive, with clean lines and playful patterns all spiced up with a bit of drama – how amazing does that sound? I couldn’t help but share with you a few favorites:
Pia Jane Bijkerk interior styling
Hello, dears! For this Monday’s inspiration I chose to feature a super-talented interior stylist and photographer who travels (and lives) back and forth between Sydney, Paris and Amsterdam – Pia Jane Bijkerk! Her blog was a source of inspiration to me for a long time as her photography is beyond gorgeous and her style is what can be called rustic-meets-vintage-meets-French-meets-all-things-beautiful! Her work appeared in famous shelter magazines such as Elle Interior, Vogue Living, Home Beautiful, Traditional home and others. Recently Pia launched her professional website and I couldn’t help but blog about it. If you seek for a dose of prettiness to put you in a creative mood for this week, then enjoy this post!
Photographer Magnus Anesund
And again we’re at this – amazing Swedish talents. I’m so in love with photographer Magnus Anesund, I feel like I want to jump as high as I can. His work is uber inspiring, I might just get an overdose right now. He can make look chic a white, minimalistic space just the same as a colorful or even dramatic one. I tell you, his photography skills are enviable and as much as I admire such a talent, I’m slightly jealous :)
{Gorgeous} Photography by Miki Duisterhof
Today while going through my multiple and very inspiring bookmarks I came across a name which caught my eye and spoke to me, whispering a tempting ‘stop’. I’m sure this happened to you at some point, right? Well, you won’t believe how mesmerized I was when I clicked on the category ‘Interiors’. All the pictures were right up my alley, very shabby chic, romantic and even feminine – and what else can a girl ask for after a working day :)? So the magic name is Miki Duisterhof and she’s a photographer, a fabulous one (just wait to see her clients: West Elm, William Sonoma, Veranda and many, many others!). Seriously, I was hypnotized by all that beauty! Here’s what I’m talking about:
Miha Matei Photography
I’m more and more in love with Romanian artists and creative minds. First I must mention Freshome, a fabulous site about interior design (last week I found out that the founder of the site lives not so far away from me – exciting!), today I read about Mario Badescu, who is also from Romania, known worldwide for his line of skin care products and now Miha Matei, a talented photographer born in Romania, now living in New York and Los Angeles with her husband and son. In Miha’s portfolio I found pictures which were in my inspiration files since forever, yet I never knew that they were taken by her, like the below picture which can be seen in the post about Ashe+Leandro Interiors. Miha’s photography is stunning and her portfolio is one of those which you want to fully take from her site and just put it on your blog, it’s that good!
Alexandra Grablewski Photography
Hi everyone! Today is one of those days when you need lots of eye-candy images to get inspired of and indulge your eyes with, just crucial for your well-being. Yes, a productive-but-oh-so-exhausting day has hit me today and to relax, but still feel like I’m the blogger who’ll inspire you or just bring up some seriously pretty pictures to enjoy, I want to brighten up your day! I couldn’t do it by myself, so I got a wee help from Alexandra Grablewski and her calm and adorable photography (remember when I blogged about the yumminess she’s shooting?). She has an aesthetic to admire and sense of style to be envy on. That was a joke, no envy! So now, please get your dose of beautiful photography and make your day better!
Donna Griffith Photography
Does it happen to you that you FEEL what you want to blog about? Like somebody is guiding you to post about something? It just happened to me, but it’s far away from being the first time! Just wondering what this might be. However somebody guided me now in posting the work of a talented interior photographer (was simply craving for pictures of beautiful rooms!). I usually do what I’m told, so I started ransacking through my bookmarks and guess what I found: Donna Griffith Photography! Exactly what I needed: beautiful rooms, peaceful atmosphere & great talent – what’s not to love here?! I though you might like the pictures as well, so please take a look:
