Happy Monday! You guys, I came across the most stunning bedroom ever! And the funny thing is that the space is as simple as it can be yet attractive and so cozy. The bedroom is white, with black accent details (like a stunning geometrical pattern on a wall) and the cutest nursery corner ever! Pure Scandinavian gem and I couldn’t help but share it with you. But yes, the striking part was the pattern on the wall that can be an easy DIY project with a huge impact on a room (I think I like it even more than regular wall art).
Simple living
Hello, sweet creamylifers! So sorry I haven’t posted anything the last couple days, it was one of those weeks, you know? So today, as a treat and a way to make it up to you, I have a post that shows so many things I adore: white done right, simple living, Scandinavian chicness, minimalist style with a wow-factor and more. Without any further ado, here’s a home I’m ready to move in right away!
Bulbs instead of chandeliers? Heck, yeah!
I’m liking the idea of having hanging bulbs as light fixtures, you know? As much as I love chandeliers (proof here) I sort of think it’s time to bring something new and modern into this. Plus, for some reason the huge bulbs are SO Scandinavian in my opinion and I couldn’t love it more, the look of an oversized bare bulb hanging over a dining table (add some vintage chairs while we’re at it) and you get a picture perfect dining area! Well, bulbs look equally good elsewhere, here’s some inspiration:
Summer house with a Scandinavian twist
And here I am again asking myself what do Swedish and Danish people have that we all don’t? Is it something about the air or we’re simply meant to be different? You’re probably wondering why am I asking this, right? Well, have you seen better homes than those in Sweden and Denmark? Whether we’re speaking about interior designers or just people who like to decorate, they’re equally talented and the outcome (i.e. homes) is just stunning! I’ve been featuring lots of Scandinavian home tours here on the blog, so here is one more, a summer house to die for!
Home Tour: 1970′s villa
Hi everyone! The other day I came across a 1970’s villa tour and I couldn’t help, but post it here (I’m sure there’ll be lots of you who’ll love it, just like me). You’ll ask why? Here are hints: Scandinavian, washed out colors, plenty of white and pops of bright shades. Oh and stunning artwork! There’s a vintage-y modern vibe injected in those rooms which are enchanting! The home belongs to Marie and Bill and their two children. And I suggest you to read the entire post, I was impressed, to say the least. You all know my love for everything Scandinavian and am seriously thinking my home (you know, the dream home I’ll someday own :D) will be exactly like the one I’m showing you in this post, the below pictures are undoubtedly landing in my inspiration folder. What about you? How your dream home looks like?
Black & White from Elle Interior Norway
A while back I received two copies of the always stunning Elle Interior Norway (huge thank you for this!) and I thought I must share glimpses with you all. The magazines were absolutely gorgeous and inspiring and I’m so frustrated our Elle Dekor just can’t pull together a similar issue every month (remember they were doing quarterly? well, now the skipped winter issue, ugh). Nonetheless, here are some glamorous, Scandinavian inspired images with mainly black and white, which will surely feel like fresh air in your life at the moment, among all the Christmas-y colorful inspiration! Talk about Scandinavian Maximalism.
